Oceania Defence
Para Bellum is the official Oceania Defence distributor in Switzerland. As the exclusive importer, we bring Oceania Defence suppressors to certified users across Switzerland, France, Austria and Germany. These suppressors are 3D-printed in Inconel or titanium for a light, tough build. As a result, military and police units trust Oceania Defence worldwide. In short, for Oceania Defence in Switzerland, Para Bellum is your official source.

Oceania Defence is a New Zealand suppressor manufacturer that has been a world leader in firearm suppressors since 2012. In fact, founded by engineer and shooter Bert Wilson, the company pioneered a radically different way to build a silencer: instead of machining and welding baffles, every Oceania Defence suppressor is grown as a single, monolithic unit by 3D metal printing. That approach removes spacers, welds and support structures, and opens up internal geometries that simply cannot be machined. As a result, the range is exceptionally strong, light and compact suppressors, which Para Bellum now distributes exclusively across Switzerland, France, Austria and Germany.
Engineered in New Zealand, printed one piece at a time
Historically, Oceania Defence began when founder and Managing Director Bert Wilson, an engineer and experienced shooter, realised that metal 3D printing could rewrite the rules of suppressor design. Instead of assembling a stack of machined baffles, he set out to print the entire core as one integral part.
Then, in July 2019, the company moved into the custom facility of New Zealand additive-manufacturing specialist RAM3D in Tauranga, and the two have jointly developed suppressors for military and police tactical units around the world ever since. Oceania Defence now holds patents on 3D-printed suppressors and supplies defence and law-enforcement clients globally.
In short, their design philosophy is about balance. As Wilson puts it, in suppressor engineering "you can get really good in one area and make it really bad in another", so every model is tuned to hold weight, size, back pressure, sound and flash signature in equilibrium, rather than chasing a single number.
What sets Oceania Defence apart
Specifically, four proprietary technologies define the brand's suppressors and the reason serious operators choose them.
Patented HyFlow dual-path design
Gas is split at the blast baffle and routed along two paths, processing it roughly twice as fast as a single-flow can. Consequently, back pressure drops sharply, a real advantage on direct-impingement rifles, while flash and sound stay low.
Ratchet Lock quick mount
A two-turn coarse thread with a ratchet-tooth retainer locks the suppressor on fast and stops it loosening under fire. A large tapered conical seal prevents carbon locking, so it always comes off cleanly.
Selective Laser Melting
Selective Laser Melting grows every core as one monolithic, non-disassembleable body by 3D metal printing. No spacers, no welds, just superior tolerances, minimal weight, and internal geometry that machining could never produce.
Nielsen booster for pistols
Pistol cans such as the UTU 2 integrate a Nielsen device that absorbs and returns energy at firing, letting tilting-barrel pistols cycle reliably with every ammunition type.
Two alloys, chosen for the mission
Oceania Defence prints in aerospace-grade metal powders, matched to how hard the suppressor will be run.
