Gatorz was born with a simple idea: manufacture ballistic aluminum eyewear capable of withstanding winds exceeding 160 km/h during skydiving and motorcycling. The brand quickly found its first followers among skydivers in Southern California, many of whom belonged to US special operations units.
Gatorz rapidly became the primary eyewear supplier for the Navy SEALs, who preferred the strength of the fully adjustable metal frame and the brand’s distinctive look over the bulky plastic glasses issued by the military.
