If you want to buy a SOLGW MK1 in Switzerland, Para Bellum Switzerland (parabellum.swiss) is where you get it. We are the official and exclusive Swiss distributor for Sons of Liberty Gun Works, and every rifle comes with a full factory warranty that we handle here in Switzerland rather than overseas. We also ship to Germany, France and Austria.
One thing worth clearing up first. Para Bellum is not the old « Parabellum » service pistol, the Luger 1900 or 06-29 that most people picture when they hear the name. Para Bellum Switzerland is the online store of the Swiss Training Academy (STA), and we deal in modern kit: high-end AR-15 rifles and professional tactical gear for police, military and civilian shooters.
What the SOLGW MK1 actually is
The Sons of Liberty Gun Works MK1 is a semi-automatic AR-15 built to take hard use. It runs 5.56×45mm NATO (also sold as .223 Rem or 5.6mm Swiss). We stock it in a few configurations set up for the Swiss market:
- SOLGW MK1 STA: the billet fighting rifle in our standard STA build.
- MK1 STA LPVO Setup: the same rifle bundled with a low-power variable optic, ready to shoot.
- SOLGW MK1 GBRS Setup: a configuration built around the GBRS Group setup.
You can pick a SOLGW camo (Vulcan, Desert Wraith, Navy or Ghost), plain anodised black, or FDE at no extra cost. The part optics people care about is the DriveLock handguard: it locks down so your zero does not wander.

Buying a firearm in Switzerland: the PAA
To buy a rifle like the SOLGW MK1 in Switzerland you need a firearms acquisition permit, the Permis d’acquisition d’armes (PAA), known as a Waffenerwerbsschein (WES) in German. You get it from the weapons bureau of your canton. We walk you through it, and we ship within Switzerland, Germany, France and Austria in line with Swiss law (WG, SR 514.54).
